Learning how to center
That day, class began as had the others. Peggy taught and we students took copious notes. This was the phase I had been looking forward to, Core Energy Balancing. Learning how to hold center amidst life's storms. I especially felt in need of it that morning.
Peggy taught us Phase III and a quick series of movements accompanied by visualization that centers the energy in your core - something that can be used in any situation to keep you centered and radiating balanced energy. Before we worked as practitioners, Peggy had us sit quietly and guided us through a meditation. She brought us to that centered place within, our place of wholeness and peace. Home. As she guided us within, I found that I had tears streaming down my cheeks. The joy was so great I thought I never wanted to return. Unfortunately, now I remember very little of what she said during that meditation. Only an echo of that feeling of "Home" remains.
During my turn as client in Phase III, I was able to feel the energy work being done for the first time. I felt tingling in my skin and a pressure where my practitioner was working, even when she was not touching me and I had my eyes closed. What a change!
"Turn the power down"
Going to sleep that night, or trying to, my body felt like a set of Christmas lights that had been plugged in. The sensation was jazzy, pleasant, tingly, and euphoric. I lay there enjoying the sensation for a long time. It made going to sleep impossible. Finally, knowing I had to be up early in the morning, I prayed for some help turning the power down. I powered down almost immediately and was able to fall asleep.
